What Is Black and White and Cute all Over?

Chuli
Chuli

Chuli, Jana, Maxima and Victoria – of course! All four of these flashy Galgos are available for adoption to homes throughout the U.S. and Canada. Here’s the skinny:

Chuli is a 9 year- old who thinks he's a 2! He's also a complete love sponge who is making up for lost couch time in Spain by cuddling everyone in his foster family. He is sweet and friendly with no issues -- as long as you’re not a cat. Other than a teeny, tiny issue with cats, Chuli is a happy boy who has no fear of people.

Jana

Jana is 5 years old, friendly, sweet and calm. She, unlike the bad boy above, is just fine with cats, thank you very much. Her foster family describes her as perfect -- the perfect end table. She sleeps 23.5 hours a day and looks good doing it!

We interrupt this post to bring you an additional message: Chuli’s foster family would like to add that he is perfect, too.

Maxima
Maxima

Maxima is tall! She's also super sweet and beautiful and has a short, wiry coat. Maxie just turned 5 and is calm and ready for loving. She has recently discovered the joys of the couch. It can take her a couple of days to warm up to her human, but once she does she'll come to you for pets and kisses. Conveniently, she has a kissy spot right on her head for exactly that purpose.

Victoria is 3 years old and very calm and quiet. She's a low key girl who gets along with everyone--no matter how annoying the little dog tries to be.

Sorry, we interrupt this post again to bring you an additional message: Maxima and Victoria’s foster families would like to add that these girls are perfect, too.

These Galgos have been saved from an uncertain fate by some of our wonderful sister groups in Spain. Chuli came from Galgos del Sol. Jana came from Scooby Medina, and Maxima and Victoria came from BaasGalgo.

These shelters spay or neuter the dogs, perform blood tests and vaccinations, and get them healthy enough to travel. We then depend on volunteer flight patrons to let us attach dogs to their airplane tickets as baggage to get them to the U.S. SHUG pays all of the dogs' expenses--which usually come to $800-900 for each dog. Their adoption fees are only $650 each, because SHUG is a 501(c)3 public charity and accepts tax deductible donations and grants to support our mission. And our mission is to put dogs on couches . . . can you help?

If you're ready to adopt or will be soon, submit your application today!
