Foster Friday – Snickers Speaks

Dear Friends:

I'm a wonderful young man and very handsome, if I do say so myself. My first time away from my siblings I was a little scared, but I controlled myself and had NO accidents in the hotel. It was a long trip to my New York foster home (eight hours in a van) and I did great. I watched some scenery go by, but spend most of the time curled up at the feet of my human foster brother. Every now and then I would try to curl up with my doggie foster brother (a big greyhound), but he wasn't too keen on it. I did know how to take no for an answer.

Once at my foster home, I was introduced to two more dogs: a female greyhound (also being fostered) and a hairy dog of some sort. We all get along fine, as long as we're not trying to steal each other’s food.

snickersI have no problem climbing their stairs or jumping onto the furniture. However, I am learning which furniture I can jump on. Good thing I'm a quick learner! I'm also very proud of how quickly I learned the potty routine. I've only had one accident! I get crated during the day when my foster family goes to work, but I don't like it much. In the evenings and at night, I get to be free!  I really like that!  I also like to play outside. A forever home with other playful pups would be awesome.

All in all, I'm doing great and looking forward to getting a forever family of my own. I promise to stay sweet and loving...and a little mischievous. 🙂

Love, Snickers

P.S. You can put in an application for me here. What are you waiting for??
