UPDATED 8 JANUARY 2022
Ezio (originally Brin) is a 6 year old galgo boy who came to the US from Ibizan Hound Rescue three years ago as a direct adoption. Unfortunately his adopter was no longer able to care for him and IHR asked SHUG to help Ezio find a new home.
Ezio is a overall quiet reserved boy, who does not bark much unless there’s a squirrel in the immediate vicinity. It takes him a little while to warm up but when he does he has a silly, playful side! He is learning some basic commands in his foster home and will crate on command and lay down calmly.
This handsome boy enjoys going outside, but if he doesn’t feel he has been let out long enough he questions whether he really needs to come back in. He is food motivated, but is not food aggressive, and he is not a chewer. He can, however, play too hard sometimes and he does wear a basket (racing) muzzle for outside playtime.
Ezio has lived with small animals in the past and has been around children, but he would do best in a quieter household. He gets nervous with loud noise & commotion and is more likely to retreat than engage. He absolutely enjoys the company of other dogs, and a home with other sighthounds would be ideal.
He walks well on a leash, and does not pull and is very good about getting his nails trimmed. Ezio can be very affectionate with his humans, sometimes to the point of being a little over demanding!
Ezio is fostered in Wisconsin and his adoption fee is $300. We are not currently flying dogs domestically as cargo so his prospective adopter will need to come and get him and drive or fly him home.
NOTE: If Ezio is still listed as available, then he is still available. We are a 100% volunteer organization and most of us have regular "day jobs". Please do not email or call to ask if he's still available,
